Lanthanum Tungsten Electrode ISO 6848 ANSI/AWS A5.12/A5.12M-98

Lanthanum -Tungsten Electrode is well known for its good welding performance .It is the electrode added with 1-2% of La2O3.The power of its electronic transgression is 2.7-2.8ev ,bearing the closest features to those of the Thorium -Tungsten Electrode. Its arc features and burn spoilage endurance used with small and medium currents.

2% Lanthanated Tungsten electrodes contains 2% Lanthanum oxide (LaO 3 ) that is also a non-radioactive material. It has good welding performance. Its electric conductivity is closed to that of the 2% thoriated Tungsten electrodes. Lanthanated electrodes operate at a slightly different arc voltage than Thoriated or Ceriated electrodes. Were developed around the same time as Ceriated Tungsten to help combat the increasing awareness of the radioactivity of Thoriated Tungsten electrodes.
